This is one of the top programs offered by Michelle. Its popularity has raised so much in the past two years. An incredible amount of information and training is covered; you have the option of bringing your own horse(s) along or use several of Michelle’s. There are (2) types of Apprenticeship Programs- Private and Group. Both programs are unique in their own ways read more to learn about them. **Whether you are a beginner, or advanced horseman, you are invited to participate in the apprenticeship programs! Michelle’s training revolves around safety and just watch as your relationship between you and your horse expand to the fullest!! It’ll make him not only an awesome, reliable partner, but a super performance horse as well.
PRIVATE APPRENTICESHIP: Whether you want to train horses as a profession or just learn more about training and handling your own horses, this program is great! Work one on one with Michelle Eccles covering incredible amounts of information from groundwork, round penning, problem solving, and foal handling all the way to performance work. You name it! The program is one week long, and you may complete as many weeks as you would like. Please call Michelle for additional information and find out more about the benefits of completing a few weeks of the Private Apprenticeships! The cost is $1000/week with a 50% deposit to hold your date. A guest or “helper” is invited along to help you care for your horses and to observe. Stalls will be provided for you- feed/hay and care for your horses is your responsibility. Lodging is also the participant’s responsibility. Several area accommodations are available and a list is provided. Class is held: Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm with an hour lunch.
GROUP APPRENTICESHIPS: Group apprenticeships are similar to the private apprenticeships—they are great whether you want to improve your own skills or learn to train horses as a profession. (5-7 participants accepted). You, along with other participants, will cover information based on your own personal goals and needs. The great thing about this is you can learn from other people’s unique situations and questions. Each participant can bring (1) horse and even horseless participants are invited. Michelle can set you up with a horse for you to enjoy if needed. Call or email Michelle to ask about family discounts. The Cost is $650/person which includes a stall/spot for your horse. A 50% deposit is required to hold reservations. Participant’s horse(s) care, feed/hay is their responsibility as well as the person lodging. Each Participant is invited to bring along a “helper” or guest for the week.
